Part of the new Elite Collection from Best Rest USA, Harmony is designed with premium German components and technology and assembled in Spain.

LAS VEGAS – While the Las Vegas summer market tends to lag behind the traditional winter edition when it comes to bedding introductions and vibrant activities, this week’s event is shaping up to be somewhat different with top bedding producers bringing new products to grab the attention of West Coast retailers they haven’t seen in over a year.

Sleep manufacturers are ready for exhibition meetings with buyers, and although supply chain issues remain in light of strong consumer demand, the market appears to be another step back to normalcy.

Adjustable box springs, quality beds at competitive prices and new technologies remain at the top of the list of bedding products. In addition, new sleep accessories – pillows, sheets and mattress protectors – are increasingly used this week.

Style, strong values

Building on its philosophy of using proven components and expert craftsmanship, Englander hits the market with its Supreme collection featuring 14 new mattresses retailing from $ 799 to $ 3,999 queen size.

The collection is designed with fabric wrapped coil support units, copper infused latex layers, copper infused visco foam, 3 inch Open Air micro coils and cool touch top panels.

“We encourage retailers to dig deeper and compare our new national line products to other major brands,” said Mark Kinsley, Englander President and CEO. “Our mattresses offer incredible value at better prices, allowing our dealers to compete and win by partnering with a national brand that consumers have trusted since 1894.”

In addition to the Supreme range, Englander presents the Dreamer Hybrid Eight Pattern Latex Collection and Full Latex.

Spring Air International adds a collection of six mattress models to its portfolio, called Nature’s Choice. The new line complements sister brand: Nature’s Rest, a line of all-natural Talalay latex with linen fabrics that has been designed with a hybrid construction that replicates the feel of latex at a more affordable price.

Nature’s Choice is designed with foam cores and coated coils instead of latex to achieve cheaper prices of $ 1,599 to $ 2,599 queen.

The new Aireloom, Kluft and Marshall mattress lines include more than 50 models in four separate collections between the three brands. New marketing materials are available for retailers to support the launch of these new products, including brochures, advertisements, POS, digital assets and other retail tools.

“The demand is very high, and we couldn’t be more satisfied with the initial response,” said Magali Castillo, vice president of marketing for ES Kluft & Co. “We are also looking forward to seeing some of our business partners in August that weren’t I can’t attend the market or our open house events earlier this year.

Aireloom’s Preferred collection includes three distinct lines – with 10 models each – to appeal to a wide range of consumers. Available in all available firmness levels, the collection retails from $ 2,999 to $ 5,999.

The Kluft offering includes nine models with the company’s standard construction crafted with natural materials like cashmere, horsehair and organic cotton, individually inserted hand tufts and interlocking pocket coil systems. The line is retailed from $ 5,999 to $ 19,499.

Nine beds make up the Marshall mattress collection available in both tight-top and European-top constructions with a choice of comfort levels. The new mattresses feature natural materials and an original patented Marshall pocket coil system.

Relaunched brands

A number of bedding producers are redesigning or bringing back retail favorites with enhanced functionality. Southerland and Spring Air are among them.

Southerland’s American Sleep range has been redesigned to include hybrid and two-sided mattresses. Designed as a complementary collection to the company’s Signature collection, the new designs feature perimeter support, a new ticking design with cooling technology, cooling memory foams and latex. The American Sleep line retails for $ 699 to $ 1,999 queen size.

“Over the years, American Sleep has been one of our most successful brands, gaining spots in specialty sleep stores and national retailers,” said Bryan Smith, president and CEO of Southerland. “This relaunch allows us to further expand our placements with retailers in the same geographic area who already offer our Signature collection, offering them an alternative brand that maintains the quality, customer service and value for which Southerland is so well known. .

Spring Air’s ComfortFlex collection, retailing from $ 399 to $ 699, offers an aggressively priced selection with its two models designed with ultra-comfort foam and gel memory foam, high comfort foam. density and a layer of coil springs.

“Our new ComfortFlex collection provides our business partners with a range of affordable mattresses, a segment that has become increasingly important in today’s market as raw material price increases continue to change the pricing landscape. mattress retail, ”said Nick Bates. , president of Spring Air International. “ComfortFlex is a well-known sub-brand of Spring Air that provides our retail partners with an entry-level offering for value-conscious consumers looking for mattresses priced under $ 799. “

Bases in motion

Adjustable box springs remain a growing bright spot in the bedding category, and several companies are expanding their offerings with new features and improved technology for increased creature comfort.

Diamond Mattress has developed a three-model adjustable base program to provide retailers with a much better-better merchandising strategy.

The top-of-the-line model, retailing for $ 1,199 queen, offers massage, head and foot adjustment, a snore-free position, lighting, USB ports and a Bluetooth-enabled touchscreen remote control with memory settings, a flashlight and a TV position button.

The mid-range $ 899 model features head / foot adjustment and three preset positions, 12-inch height adjustable feet, split sync capability, and the Bluetooth wireless remote. The entry-level model in the $ 699 collection has a head adjustment and a wired remote control. All models are UPS deliverable and have a capacity of 850 pounds.

Adjustable bed specialist and sleep product supplier Customatic Technologies presents a proprietary voice control system that operates a platform independent of Amazon Alexa or Google Home.

Through a partnership with a national healthcare company, Customatic’s voice control module syncs directly with the bed for use allowing more private interaction.

“Our technology continues to develop as we have observed what our competitors are doing who have had to constantly shift gears due to poorly performing voice systems,” said Sheila Luciano, vice president of business development. “We take our time not only to make sure we are delivering something unique to our customers, but also to make sure we are delivering something that will work really well.”

Sleep health

As consumers continue to prioritize sleep hygiene, companies like Malouf and Therapedic International have focused on the benefits of CBD to help create a soothing sleep environment.

“The role of sleep for health and wellness has never been more important to people than it is now,” said Gerry Borreggine, President of Therapedic. “Retailers can support this heightened awareness with these specially designed mattresses made with materials such as CBD which promotes relaxation, antimicrobial and antibacterial copper, and latex which naturally provides better pressure relief and improved blood circulation. air throughout the night. “

Therapedic’s B-Calm line of mattresses starts at $ 999 retail as a queen and includes an all-foam model and two hybrid models, each featuring the Innergetic CBD infused graphite latex with a CBD infused cover. It is available to retailers in flat or roll packaging, determined by the factory.

Like others, the company is also tackling the antimicrobial aspect of sleep with its Memory Touch Copper Hybrid Collection that features several copper-infused components in each of the three models, ranging from $ 799 to $ 1,299 retail in Queen. Mattresses include a copper infused fabric cover, copper gel memory foam, Quantum coil steel edge support, and an additional layer of foam support. Some models include copper infused latex, Hyper-FLO quilted foam, and a plush BioCrystal.
