LANXESS Implements Variable Price Surcharge for Ion Exchange Resins and Iron Oxide Adsorbers
Posted on April 23, 2022
Specialty chemicals company LANXESS will globally implement a variable price surcharge for its Lewatit ion exchange resins and Bayoxide iron oxide adsorbers, effective immediately. The existing fixed surcharge will be adjusted based on the most relevant input costs on a monthly basis. In April/May 2022, the surcharge will be approximately 0.9 EUR/l or the equivalent amount in national currency. Customers will be contacted individually.
This step became necessary because the already tight cost situation was further aggravated due to the war in Ukraine. Global markets are experiencing unprecedented volatility and prices for energy, commodities and transportation have risen to unexpected and unpredictable levels.
LANXESS Liquid Purification Technologies business unit is one of the world’s leading providers of solutions for water treatment and liquid purification. Ion exchange resins and iron oxide adsorbers are used in many industries and applications to effectively purify water and other liquid media.
