Commercial court upholds rights out of foreign structural steel

By Jennifer Doherty (October 6, 2021, 4:58 p.m. EDT) – The United States International Trade Tribunal has upheld the United States’ International Trade Commission decision to ban anti-dumping and countervailing duties on steel manufactured from Mexico, Canada and China, dismissing the appeal of a national steel trade association.

Judge Claire R. Kelly’s decision of September 22, unsealed on Tuesday, set aside arguments from the American Institute of Steel Construction to conclude that the ITC’s determination was neither unreasonable nor lacking in evidence.
