Carmel Christkindlmarkt 2021

Carmel, Ind. – With Christmas less than two months away around the corner, Carmel Christkindlmarkt 2021 is gearing up for an exciting winter season!
Holidays are more magical than ever in Indiana. Old-fashioned vacation charm returns to Carmel, Indiana at Carmel Christkindlmarkt (pronounced Chris-t-Kindle-Mark-t) on November 20. Find the Carmel Christkindlmarkt in Carter Green, between the Palladium Concert Hall and the Tarkington Theater.
Locals know this is the location of the Carmel Farmers Market in the summer. Under the twinkling lights, browse over 50 wooden huts selling authentic goods imported from Germany, like wooden toys, nutcrackers, music boxes, ornaments and more.
Sparkling hot chocolate. Tasty and melting raclette cheese on perfectly crispy bread. Shimmering salty pretzels. Hot and spicy glühwein served in an iconic boot cup. Authentic and handcrafted German gifts and treasures. These are just a few of the gems that fans of Carmel Christkindlmarkt missed in 2020 when events in the city of Carmel were called off due to the global pandemic.
This year, with an opening date of November 20, the town of Carmel is delighted to once again host the Christkindlmarkt and Ice at Carter Green skating season.
Customers can shop for authentic, made-in-Germany gifts and have tasty treats, and adults will stay warm while sipping on the signature, spicy mulled wine called Glühwein at America’s first “Glühwein Tour”.
Nestled in the heart of new downtown Carmel, the market and ice rink are in the open space of the Performing Arts Center Palladium. It is the perfect destination for groups of friends, family or a romantic evening after dinner at the Carmichael hotel’s neighboring French restaurant, Vivante.
In 2019, the Christkindlmarkt attracted over 300,000 visitors and was voted the best vacation market in North America by USA Today.
“We are excited to ring this holiday season with the market and the rink and look forward to welcoming all of our visitors,” said Maria Murphy, CEO and Market Master.

“We are proud to be able to attract our local residents, who have been with us since our opening in 2017, as well as new entrants who come from towns and villages in the Midwest. We hope that all who experience our event make a visit part of their holiday traditions for years to come. “
After the end of the Christkindlmarkt on Christmas Eve, the Ice at Carter Green season continues until the end of February. Winter activities there include special events such as the Ice Festival featuring ice sculptors and the Carmel Winter Games with friendly team competition on the ice.
