Alien Metals Ltd begins Phase 2 drilling program on the Hancock iron ore project

() has started the second phase of drilling on the Hancock permit, which is part of the Hamersley direct iron ore shipment project to the Pilbara area of ââWestern Australia.
The program follows a recently completed very encouraging first drilling program.
Preliminary assay results have now been received on all samples from the Phase 1 drill program and results will be announced once verified.
The company’s goal for Phase 2 drilling will be to seek out a potential first resource on the Sirius Extension prospect, adding knowledge and potential to the already defined Ridge E drop-shipment ore anomaly.
The program will also test some newly identified DSO targets in the main area already drilled, including Ridge C. If possible, Alien may also consider surface reconnaissance and mapping some untested areas to further their knowledge of the project.
“With the recent announcement of our intention to increase our interest in the Hamersley Iron Ore DSO project from 51% to over 90%, as well as the strong global demand for iron ore and its recent price spike,” We are really excited to be leading this next phase of drilling at Hancock while continuing to work on the paperwork required to begin the inaugural drilling on the exciting Brockman permit further west, âsaid Bill Brodie Good, Managing Director of Alien Metals.
“We look forward to further updating the market as we move Hamersley projects up the value curve to create shareholder value.”
